-
Health and Psychosocial Support: We offer healthcare services, mental health support, and trauma-informed care for individuals affected by conflict, particularly women and children.
Accordingly, SABAR can be seen as a competency and capacity center for projects and initiatives revolving around Research, Peace and CVE in Central and South Asia, Africa and the world.
Reflecting these three key areas, SABAR has three thematic departments pursuing excellence in their particular areas.
1. CVE RESEARCH & ANALYSIS
Our Research Department works towards becoming a center for experienced researchers and experts who will be working as our technical resource for thorough grassroots-level research and district profiling, providing SABAR and our partners with in-depth policy research and advise on current hot topics as well as guaranteeing output-oriented impact analysis.
Goal: Develop research papers with focus on structural and personal drivers for radicalization and violent extremism in communities while highlighting local differences as well as providing policy advice and information services.
2. PEACE, CVE & STRATCOM
SABAR ’s Social Media Department will consist of dedicated and well-connected Social Media Officers who are employing social media platforms for strategic messaging and disseminating an alternative master narrative around CVE works of SABAR.
Goal: Disseminate and promote an alternative (counter) narrative building the psychological resilience of communities and individuals as well as providing strategic messaging services for SABAR and its partners.
3. PEACE & CVE CAPACITY BUILDING & ADVOCACY
While researchers and analysts define and establish the programmatic basis and the “master narrative”––which is disseminated by the media strategists––the team of capacity builders and trainers will support the process of implementing strategic actions based on the master narrative, best practices and recommendations of the research team. Thereby, a strong focus is put on local capacity building programs on culture, geography, resources, rights, gender, religion, and ideologies as well as capacity building training for partner, donor, and partners.
Goal: Build the capacity and train local communities according to their identified needs in order to enhance the overall resilience of vulnerable groups.
